How it started

How it all began

Our journey began on the Sunshine Coast where we made a new home after immigrating from South Africa. With a background in the Hydraulic and Diesel Industry we bought our skills and passion to Caloundra. After running a successful business in South Africa, we established Hydraulic and Diesel Services here on the Sunshine Coast.

Our Difference

What sets HDS apart is that it is a family endeavour. From the outset the family has been working together with both sons completing their Cert IV in Engineering and joining the business. Our focus on quality and customer satisfaction has remained steadfast throughout our journey.

Today Hydraulic and Diesel Services is a trusted name on the Sunshine Coast and we are grateful for the support we have received and look forward to continuing our journey, Serving our Customers with Integrity, Passion and Expertise!

Our Timeline

Lets take a stroll down memory lane

Arrive in Australia

sep 1998

We embarked on our new beginnings originally moving from South Africa to Australia with our 3 Kids, Wayne, Taryn and Simon. Who have all in one way or another contributed to the growth of HDS

Grand opening - Warana

Aug 2001

3 years after moving to Australia we opened our first HDS store on the Sunshine Coast! With now over 45 years Experience in Mechanical Hydraulic Engineering, David was eager to into the industry on the Sunshine Coast, brining his years and expertise to the fore front of eager Sunshine Coast locals!

Growing Pains

Feb 2017

As we grew and became well known and trusted Hydraulic and Diesel Technicians, we needed an upgrade. We made the move to our second store.

This store held promise and we continued to take on more clients and get our clients back on the road!

On to Bigger and Better

Sep 2022

After continuing to service and build relationships with the local Sunshine Coast Council, winning consecutive tenders, it was time for a change. That's when we moved to our current shop 20 Enterprise St, Caloundra West.

With this new shop came more space to take on bigger and more advanced custom builds. It allowed us the freedom of growing our dream.
